I've been sewing for almost 50 years, since I was 8 years old. I studied clothing and textiles at Purdue University. I've done alterations for many people and of course sewed for my children when they were little.
My sewing interests are:
garment, upholstery, cross stitch, embroidery
My sewing machine(s):
I am interested in patterns such as:
I really like the designs of Vogue and Butterick patterns but I do not limit myself to one particular brand. There are so much sewing opportunity in all brands.
Hi Jennifer, This is my first time on Sew-Whats-New. I absolutely love your Pocket Tea Bag Holder and would like to know where I can get the pattern. I am mostly a quilter but I love to make quick gifts for friends, family and neighbors. I think this would be perfect for my Red Hat group too.
Hi Jennifer, I am also new to this site. I have been sewing for 41 years. I started when I was around 7 on my grandmothers old Singer. I got a Textile Science degree from the Univ. Of Arkansas in 1983. I really wanted to design fabric. There wasn't money in it at time and I would have to move far away from Home. Instead I went into pharmaceutical sales. I had 2 1/2 years of nursing behind me and my father was a doctor.
I now am starting to have step-grandchildren and hopefully one day have my childrens grandchildren. They are 21 and 17.
Look forward to visiting with you online!
