I want to learn to use the cool second hand sewing machine I just bought!! I'm in my 50s and haven't touched a sewing machine since 8th grade really...
I'd like to start with say curtains...then to home decor,pillows etc...then perhaps upholstery :-)OK maybe clothes too.
(Now the catch is) I survived a traumatic brain injury so I could use the networking and help please!
A bit about me... I'm a lil Mother Nature, luv taking a lil photography,button lover and creative,love my Service Dog(German Shep) Cowboy and lil brother Humble. A lil eclectic, a lil quirky,proud TBI survivor and love humor!!
I work on BI sites helping family,friends and new survivors. I am a Presidential Prayer Team Member and Adopt our Troops prayer Team member. I also work on a Grass roots Political site.I also do volunteer work for children and animals.
Man, are there really only 24 hours in a day?!
Love the SWN site and all the folks it adds to my life!

Thanks for the comments about my Bellydance costumes. I love to make them, although right now I'm not doing too much. I have two little boys, and yes my belly is not what it used to be! I still teach but haven't done very much performing recently. Hoping to change that this year!

- Those pictures are pre-babies. But the great thing about belly dance is that you can still do it no matter what size or shape you are!

hi Jeri, the photo of the sewing machine that you sent, is it singer? looks gorgeous.
you lucky you have a spare room :) i need to take corners from the living room and my bedroom lol
this is my singer, gift from my boyfriend, good for sewing delicates.
