Profile Information

I am an awesome:
I am about to become semi-reitred, and have the fortune to have several options to open my own part time business...I am considering teaching others to sew, as well as crochet, bake bread, etc...(My constant efforts to teach others to live frugal and green are my hidden motives here, along with a chance to make a little pocket change)...
My sewing interests are:
garment, drapery, home decor
My sewing machine(s):
My sweet little Brother...It has lots of nice stitches and is not so complicated I get confused...My husband designed my sewing room and made it just for me...calls it the fairy room, where he says I make magic...
I am interested in patterns such as:
I love Vogue, Butterick, McCall's, Simplicty...I am not so much about the brand as about the piece to be made...make a lot of my own patterns...Sometimes, I see something, cut out a picture and make a pattern...it works or it doesn't, you can always rip and do over...

Dear Jo,

Thank you for your comment. I carry out my sewing business 24/7 dealing in the local patterns of Uganda known as "bitenge", "gomesi", "biteeteyi", "mpale", "masaati" and school uniforms for children. I am full time on my sewing business and I have 10 other interns whom I teach sewing and the dexterity of designing East African standard designs. I look forward to sharing with you the most unique designs we offer. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail: kyobeedward@yahoo.com and we'll keep communicating.

Regards,

That sounds like a good idea for my son's college dorm room. Did you use all the same colors or mix them up ?

Thank you. I am very excited about the possibilities for these classes. I think we are going to start out as a mini-camp (several one week sessions) then see how much interest there is after that. The Bandana dresses are very easy to make. It's just 2 bandanas and ribbin for the neckline, then it can be hemmed to whatever length is desired.
