Profile Information

About Me:: I help my hubby with his business. My cat Boo & I piece & quilt & create as much as we can. I started learning things I was unaware of while my mother sewed. I made my first quilt top in 1992-3, mom taught me to cut around a piece of sandpaper covered cardboard (template). it was 13 years before I had the top quilted and gave it to my daughter for Christmas.

What type of sewing do you enjoy?: quilting, embroidery

What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?: I have a Janome 6500.

What brand of patterns do you prefer?: There are so many patterns, I really love batik fabrics.

It was a pattern I bought about 4-5 years ago, and lent out and never got back, so I don't even know the name. I bought it at a quilt shop I visited. Seems like the picture on the pattern had fabric handles. It is fun to make - I use the gathering foot or ruffler to make the the ruffles on these purses. I have made several. Preparing and cutting the bias strips takes longer than actual sewing time!
