Glenda Clutch Purse - Pattern by Swoon

Another Glenda Convertible Clutch (Swoon Patterns) as I like these little bags, especially the zippered divider. Sadly I am not so happy with my pattern matching between the flap and the front of the bag.…

Sewing the Tropical Vibe Sleeveless Sundress - McCalls Pattern 6957

Embellishing Garments with Applique

Posted on July 31, 2016 at 6:30pm 0 Comments

I tried darning this skirt when I caught it on a nail and ripped the back open a couple of years ago.  It looked awful.  So I decided to pick out one of my apron applique designs to hide it all.  It was a long thin repair, so I chose a long thin design.…

I did use the link, that is where I got my pattern from, but I did not see on there anywhere about how much material to use. Thank you so much!

I just saw the pin cushion tutorial. Thank you! I am going to try and follow the instructions without using a pattern -- I'm not much for patterns, but I do like to freestyle stuff (which probably explains why my projects turn out as they do!)

Thank you for the tip on posting the link to my blog.I love the bags shown in your photo section!!! Learning how to make bags is on my "things to learn" list. Right  now, I'm still leaning how to cut straight lines for quilts (I'm not joking about this). I hope to sew well enough to be able to create fabric coasters for tea sets for gifts and swaps.
