My Swedish Peg Bag!

"Well Lori, the clue is in the title.  It's for holding the clothes pegs when you hang washing out on the line to dry, you can see some inside.  It can stand on a shelf or hang by it's hook (though I didn't have one handy so…"

I find I need help to stay on top of my 'to do' list these days.  I get so annoyed with myself when I go out with a list and mail and find them still in my bag when I get home!  So I decided what I really needed was a…

A few years ago I made a load of aprons for a stall at a Craft Fair.  It wasn't well attended and I have been selling the aprons off in our gift shop ever since.  Back in 2012 I changed the design I had on one from an elephant to a cockerel as it hadn't sold.  It has gone to a new owner now, and there…

Mummy's Handsewn Patchwork Handbag

In my last post I showed you my Embroidery Workbag, and Suzy asked if I had made it.  I replied I had, and here is how.

My mother collected fabric scraps for years, planning to make a quilt one day.   They included bits from dressmaking by my sister and I as well as recycled garments and bought…

Thanks for asking Karen! I made a second one for myself (gifted the first one) and made a few changes. I omitted one layer - it was rather hard sewing through all these layers the first time. I also sewn the front ' kangaroo' pocket shut, again one less layer!

Thank you. I looked up the book and it cost too much to buy just for the one pattern. So am going to try and figure it out. Do not know where the appliqué channel is. Thanks for the info. I really appreciated it.
