I started sewing when I was 13. My mother bought a high end machine from a local department store. It had many cams and I would play with the different designs. I lost that sewing machine in a move when I was twenty something. Have not sewen since until this year. I bought a Singer Futura CE-150 and have sewn on it since December, 2011.
I recently constructed a dress shirt for a ring bearer in a wedding. I don't typically sew for others but really enjoyed that.
I saw your comment about my fractured quilt. I went back and posted a pic of what the quilt looked like to begin with. I had sewed 5" blocks together, sliced up the quilt , sewed it back together, added a white border, sliced it up and sewed it again. then added a final border of white.
Hi there! I just saw your question @ Pattern Makers Group. Have you ever tried the Pattern Master Boutique? It looks like it might solve the problem you're having. I just heard an excellent recommendation for it from a fellow Sew What's New member. You can check it out on my page under the comments. Have a great day!
You're not kidding a blast from the past. I am at the same place. All the kids have grown up and we are now grandparents of two little boys. Mandy lives in Prescott with her husband and two sons; Michael is at home right now having just graduated college and Matthew graduated college last year and has moved out last month with his girlfriend. I quit working at Fabricland 4 years ago at the end of July. It was great to hear from you.
