Hi, group!
I'm looking to hook up with like-minded bodies from the Orillia area in Ontario. It would be wonderful to just get together for a cuppa and get to know one another. If that appeals to you - drop me a line.
I've been having a great deal of difficulty getting a good fit on a pants pattern. My body problems? tummy measurement is the same as the hip measurement, short rise, fairly heavy legs, no hip curve. I can't seem to get the torso part of the pattern…
Don ~ Amen to that! When I finally find a body that measures the same on the left as on the right, I'll figure I've just reached nirvana. Even just adjusting commercial patterns means doing a left side and then doing a completely different right sid…
Hey Kathy - I'm Katriina from Gravenhurst in Canada. I, too, had my own dance costume business and bought my serger for making leotards and other spandex costumes. I've since added a 4-thread industrial Juki which I absolutely love. Teaching serger…
Hi Whisperingdragon - I've owned a Singer serger since 1983. I have serged miles on it and loved it to pieces - literally. It makes the best rolled hem and I still use it for that purpose. The rest of it has more or less retired. May I make a sugges…

I live in Gravenhurst, Ontario. The only source for fabric that I have found is a Fabricland in Orillia (45 min. drive) and one in Huntsville ( 1 hr. drive ) and a few quilting shops. I wonder how others in this situation deal with finding quality f…
You're not kidding a blast from the past. I am at the same place. All the kids have grown up and we are now grandparents of two little boys. Mandy lives in Prescott with her husband and two sons; Michael is at home right now having just graduated college and Matthew graduated college last year and has moved out last month with his girlfriend. I quit working at Fabricland 4 years ago at the end of July. It was great to hear from you.
Hi there! I just saw your question @ Pattern Makers Group. Have you ever tried the Pattern Master Boutique? It looks like it might solve the problem you're having. I just heard an excellent recommendation for it from a fellow Sew What's New member. You can check it out on my page under the comments. Have a great day!
