Alexia said… - Thank you, I am very excited about it and am hoping for a good turn out. I just feel that sewing is becoming a lost art with our younger generation. That is why I approached the Recreation Dept with the idea. The lady who is over that division was very excited about it and we were on the phone for an hour discussing the possibilities. I recently joined the local quilt guild and really enjoy working on the projects when we meet, but have little time to pursue it outside of the group. I guess when all my children are in college (the last one graduates high school in 2010) maybe I will have more time.

- Hi Kay, Welcome . I am from Metairie, LA and I absolutely love sewing. I am working on a program to teach basic sewing children through our recreation dept during the summer. Are you working on any special projects?
