This is not the answer to your question, but it might be the answer to your problem. Using two circular needles enables you to do absolutely anything that can be done on DPNs, without the hassle of DPNs.

Jan, I have made several of these using the original "incorrect" instructions...they worked just fine and made a nice short sleeved shell. The revised instructions make the same thing as a big shirt or jacket with longer sleeves.
