Family Update

Dh's sister in KY went to be with the Lord. She loved to quilt and have done this for many years. She helped me out a lot. She really was having a hard time. Within 3 months she had a stroke and no feeling in one side of her body and 2 weeks ago she had a massive heart attack...I wasn's able to visit because I had surgery on my ankle. I had a ligament reconstructed. Hope that makes sense...I had to slow down on my sewing and decided to do some knitting to help occupy my time. I'll update more la… Continue

Vacation

Hi everyone, Tomorrow we're leaving for a two week vacation from our home in NW Florida. We'll be visiting our friends in Georgia for 3 days and then to Washington to visit our daughter for 4 days and then to Pa to visit my Mom and two sisters and then head back to home. We not sure where we will visit until we arrive back home.

Our neighbor will feed our fish but I'm not sure if she will know how to take care of all of my plants. I just hope I dont loose then. :(

We're suppose to have a freez… Continue

Quilters Pig Out

Hi everyone. Todays was our quilters pig out and we had bunches of goodies to eat. We all worked on any quilt we're trying to finish. I worked on my Christmas quilt. I've been working on this quilt at home and after today I have 9 blocks finished. Hurrah!!!! I saw so many beautiful quilts while being there for six hours. Someone was working on two quilts for two children that had pictures of their father that is now overseas.
One of the quilters made everyone a small pin cushion. Another quilter… Continue

I left you a comment...was it aon your blog site? I get new to these sites. I get confused and sometimes alittle lost. I posted somewhere that I have just begun knitting aldo. My grandmother taught me years ago (maybe about 40) but I never kept it up. I preferred crocheting and embroidery. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am. brenda

ahhh..thank you for the kind words about my quilts, Jeanne!..
I started in 1994 when i learned you could do the quilting on the machine! as hand quilting is not for me, as much as i love the look of it!.. happy quiltmaking to you!....gypsylulu (jean)
