Londa Sews a Boba Wrap Baby Carrier

How to do Knit Hems

How to Stitch Knit Hem

Today, I’m sharing my techniques for hemming a knit garment.  There are many ways to ‘skin the cat’, in this case the ‘cat’ being a knit hem.  What I CAN tell you is that the ‘way’ instructed in most patterns will NOT work!  Simply turning up a knit hem and stitching WILL yield a wobbly mess.  Give this technique a try and I think you might just LOVE it!

 INTERFACE the hem allowance

That means put a knit fusible interfacing the…

A T-Shirt Throw Coverlet is an EZ memory gift to sew up for giving this graduating season.

Know the Designer?

Sewing Guild friend, Linda brought this delightful T-Shirt Throw that she made with T’s belonging to her son.  Though I’d love to give appropriate credit to the original designer of the idea, Linda did not know – “other than on…

T Transformed to Tunic

Flounces dress up most anything!

See how flounces added to the hemline and sleeves transform this T-Shirt?  It was a wonderful T for my sewing buddy at Christmas, but I knew I wanted to ‘take it up a notch’.  She found this GREAT plaid…

Will try it! Do I need to adjust my tension a certain way? I seem to be having excessive bobbin issues if the foot doesn't meet the feeders

Londa, you seem to know a bunch about sewing, and I need expert advice! I'm trying to see a comforter and the problem comes in when attaching the thick braided cording. I can't get it close enough to just show the cord on the right side. I have pictures of it on my page. Can you help me??

Hi

Have just watched the You Tube video you did on trying Texture Magic as I have been researching it to do an article on it in the Bags Channel.  I went and looked on your website to see if there were any examples of you using it for collars etc but just found the product itself.  I am posting the article this Friday and would love to add pictures if you have any.

Hi Londa, it's Mary from the "old" Sew Whats New. Your picture is great, and a second wedding gown too. What an undertaking. I remember the lovely job you did on the first one.
