Quilted Hassock HowTo's and Supplies

Now that I have completed TWO of these great HASSOCKS (Bolster, Tuffet - whatever you care to call them)as gifts for my dear adult children, I feel there are some details of the construction and design process which, in addition to the pattern I (kinda of) used, Auntie's Two "A New Take on a Tuffett", that will prove helpful.  BTW - I sell these great dense foam forms on my website (small:  14" hi x 12" diameter) or Large as I utilitzed:  (18" tall x 15" diameter).  They are definitely firm…See More

Monofilament hints

OK - Here's a valuable lesson if you have a machine that 'cuts the thread' with a push of the button, as mine (BROTHER Quattro) will. When using monofilament thread, do NOT use the cutter. What happens when using the auto cutter is that since monofilament thread is so 'slick', if just slips out when cut to a shorter length as automatic cutting does. Also -…See More

Londa, you seem to know a bunch about sewing, and I need expert advice! I'm trying to see a comforter and the problem comes in when attaching the thick braided cording. I can't get it close enough to just show the cord on the right side. I have pictures of it on my page. Can you help me??

Hi

Have just watched the You Tube video you did on trying Texture Magic as I have been researching it to do an article on it in the Bags Channel.  I went and looked on your website to see if there were any examples of you using it for collars etc but just found the product itself.  I am posting the article this Friday and would love to add pictures if you have any.

Not exactly given the reins over. My daughter thought she would like to try and create a new Sew Whats New and did so with my blessing. Everything is her work and ideas. I visit to see what's new.
