Guess what I did? I bought that iron from Jcpenney. I had a gift card from xmas so I purchase it. It was on sale for 159.99 and I had 57.00 left on the gift card. I still ended up paying 199. for it with shipping and tax. I can't wait to get it so I can use it. I was thinking after I bought it I should have just used a 40% coupon from Joann's and it probably would have been cheaper because I wouldn't have had to pay for shipping. They charged 23.00 for shipping. Crazy.
Thank you so much for the offer. That is so very nice of you since there aren't too many people doing things for free these days. What days do you do lessons and do we bring our own sewing machines. What supplies are needed. Like I said I haven't sewed in a while and I really don't know all the supplies that are necessary. I know the obvious ones but there might be something I am forgetting. I am considering taking you up on your offer but I would like to finish up a baby blanket I am working on (crochet) which is close to being done. I know I have been to Madison before with my g/f. I actually live in Westmoreland. My hubby bought me a gps so I don't think I would get lost. I would hope not. Sometimes you never know....lol...anyway I wanted to get back to you and find out some info and if there is anything I am forgetting please fill me in.
Yes ~ We have a Westie. Her name is Trixie. She's our first. We are crazy about her....even when she's making me crazy.
How wonderful to have enough time available to start free sewing classes! Since I don't want to hurry my children thru their growing years, I file those ideas away for another day. Have looked into a program called Kids Can Sew as a way to teach and earn some vacation money. Sadly, the program is pretty expensive. $2,995 for the license to use the program (including X number of sewing machines). Bit too rich for me at this point. Are you using a program to teach or is this something you've put together from your own experience?
You are my very first "post" on a blog. I am new to this ~ but it's a lot of fun so far! Thanks!!
