I teach adult education in a women's prison and am grandmother to two girls, who live in England. Another grand daughter is on the way in California. I live in the Southeast, which is as close as I can get to half-way between. My husband and I like to travel and have been to every continent except Australia, which is where we're going this coming September.
When I was around thirteen, my mom told m e that she would not buy me any more clothes, but that I could have as much fabric as I wanted, as well as patterns. She was an expert seamstress: she had even taught sewing in her younger days. Anyway, I ended up learning to sew under her expert guidance and have been doing so ever since.
My sewing interests are:
garment, home decor
My sewing machine(s):
Bernina sewing machine and serger
I am interested in patterns such as:
Today's Fit (Sandra Betzinz for Vogue), and Kwik Sew.
