I found myself with the same problem (and thought the same thing) some years back. The doctor said it was probably caused by childbirth and carrying car seats. Glad to hear you are doing better. It only hurts when you laugh!

I agree with Jill. The books are great. For some reason, I had been avoiding them but picked up the most recent at the library - "The Lost Quilter." I thoroughly enjoyed it and hated to put it down. I have read one other and look forward to reading…
I went to sewing classes (1969 -1970) in the basement of our local Singer store - which also was a fabric store. They offered summer classes for pre-teens and teens. I remember how exciting it was to use their machines - drop-in bobbins and automati…
I paid about $120 a little over a year ago for the walking foot. I have only done a little quilting - but you definitely need it. I thought about trying the shank and generic foot but wasn't sure how far back in models this would apply (mine is pret…
Hi there. I am going to try the Rag quilt for a baby. Please help me with the amt. of layers , the width of the seams ,do you have to cut into the seams after they have been sewn to help make the healthy fringe?
Just browsing and saw your question about quilt as you go. I have made a large size quilt using this method. It's great for those who do not have a long arm or want to pay for having a large quilt long armed. You quilt each individual block as you make it. When all blocks have been quilted, you put them together using a sashing technique on the front side and the back side at the same time. If you're still interested, reply back and I'll give you measurements for the sashing strips on the front and back side of the quilt and try to explain the method.
