I have the New Look 6768 pattern. You can google it and if you are interested I can send you copies of the pattern and copies of the instructions. When I bought the pattern I had my husband take it to Staples and make copies. I had a hard time…

Hi Mary~~I enjoyed our shopping trip to Joann's. I will also eventually get a Rowenta iron also, maybe next time they go on sale.
I did not get one of the 5 patterns that I had in my cart. It must have slipped out. They only charged me $1.00 for each of the 4, but the one I am missing is the one with the drapey neckline I liked! Darn. I figured out how much I saved with the sale and my coupons~~~regular price for everything would have been $169, I paid $67!!! That is why I make every effort to get to their great holiday sales that they have several times a year!
Looking forward to our sewing sessions together!

Hi Carla..Thank you for the welcome. I do plan on taking the sewing classes with Lyn. It sounds like it will be fun. I would really like to learn the right way. The only sewing class I ever took was in school and you know what thats like. I only purses I have made were crocheted. The came out good but I would like to do some that are sewn also eventually....Mary

Hi Mary.. I want to welcome you to my "We Love Purses" group. I look forward to seeing some of your creations(cross stitch, jewelry etc).
Lyn's free sewing class sounds like the perfect way to get great hands on experience as well as sewing tips and techniques. Carla

Good morning Mary~~
Great to hear from you! I will be starting some regular class days in September, but if you want to get started before then I'd be happy to have you. One-on-one might be a good way to get started, then I'd love to have you join one of our groups. We have fun, and are always sharing ideas about sewing, cooking, and life in general as well as working on all types of individual projects.
You can always email me at lynmore@frontiernet.net

Do you know anyone else that might like to come with you for classes?

Hi Mary,
I live in Madison, about 24 miles from Rome. I teach free sewing classes in my studio, if you are at all interested. I have a couple small groups that meet weekly, or I work one-on-one with anyone who would like to.
Also teach quilting classes and workshops, also free. I just want to share my love of quilting and 'give back' for all the years of enjoyment these skills have given me! We have fun, totally relaxed and friendly. No pressure, go at your own pace, learn just what you want to learn!!
Hope to hear from you!

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
