Yep, thanks to the previous owner, this machine doesn't have a scratch. Old Singers are very reliable. I love them, too!

Thanks for the comment, ladies! I know I was lucky -- I have 301 also, with an instruction booklet and all other accessories including a hard case, and I paid only $10 ! These machines are sturdy and fast, I am very happy with them.

Profile Information

About Me:
Started making a quilt soon after I had my second child 10 years ago. Before then, I hated sewing, even sewing a button on was the pain in the neck! Though my mom does all kind of needle work, I am a self-taught crafter.

After I got hooked in quilting, my curiousity kept stretching out.
I enjoy; sewing bags, purses, pouches, hats, hand embroidery, dying fabric, knitting, crochet, felt needle punching. And just as all of you are, I am another addicted fabric collector.
What type of sewing do you enjoy?
quilting
What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?
Janome Memory Craft 6500 Professional, Singer 301, Brother Japanese model, Bernina 1530, vintage Kenmore
What brands of patterns have you tried?
Green pepper, Burda, Olympus (Japan)

Hi, my name is Masko, originally from Japan and have moved to the States in 2003.
My family and I first lived in New Orleans, LA, where my husband is from.

I loved it in Memphis. When we first evacuated there with nothing but some clothes, the local quilters generously donated scraps of fabrics, handmade pincushion, basic sewing supplies and got me ready to…
