"Melanie, you are way ahead of me with your new serger. I have the same model and I have yet to get it to "stitch"...it has to be in the threading somewhere. I have had no problems with my 4870 and so coveted the 4872 for the cover…"

Melanie, you are way ahead of me with your new serger. I have the same model and I have yet to get it to "stitch"...it has to be in the threading somewhere. I have had no problems with my 4870 and so coveted the 4872 for the cover stitching ability. Well, got a hold of one "second hand" and that's about as far as I have gotten.

I had one sewing machine for almost 30 years -- still have it -- and then when the Pfaff computerized 7570 came out I tried out every other model and company and decided in "it". Then for my 70th Birthday, DH surprised me with the 4870 serger & 7570 sewing machine so in the last j10 years I have crammed in a lot of learning.

"Our" model of serger was at the back of the line and has yet to be explored. So, you have encouraged me to get going on it and we can compare notes. :) ( I've had lots of experience with twin needles in my old and new sewing machines and that looks a lot like the "cover stitch")
Easy out!
