I am a full-time, stay-at-home, crafter. I LOVE to create country, primitive items such as samplers, pillows, wall hangings, signs. With my favorites being my "quirky characters" that I call "Bill & Loretta" after my parents. You can see my creations at MockaMooseMarket.Etsy.Com.
My sewing interests are:
home decor, quilting, embroidery
My sewing machine(s):
I own a simple, basic Singer that works just great for what I do.
Thank you : ) That was a great way to put it "anything that brings a smile to one's heart"...that's why I sew I think. Because these softies bring a smile to my heart. I'm certainly no artist able to make the finest of things, but what I do makes me smile (except for my corduroy monkey).
Sew What's New is great fun. There are groups you can join by clicking on them at the home page. You can join any. They e-mail you when something new happens in your group. It's fun also to read blog posts & check out new photos. Your post or photos might be featured on the home page of SWN also. That's a great way to meet new friends & learn!
All the "latest excitement" is at the home page on the left. When I'm on you'll see a wall of Birdie,Birdie, Birdie because I love checking everything out, welcoming new people and saying hi. If you meet someone that you'd like to add as a friend, look under their name & add them. When you want to check in with your friends, they'll all be in one spot together on your profile page.
SWN has even added a new chat feature. You should see it now at the bottom. It says Sew-whats-new.com chat. Click on that & chat. So far not many use it because they don't realize it's there! You can privately chat with people or you can click the far right icon on the top and "go offline" so no one knows you're on SWN, which is great because sometimes IM's can get awfully annoying when you're trying to browse!
Welcome! I see that you're in Colorado Springs. My parents used to take me there as a child. I always loved it! It seemed to be a magical town with Pike's Peak and the beautiful landscape. Do y'all still have Santa Land? (I think that's what it was called). I'm looking forward to seeing your creations! Happy Sewing!
