Burda Plus Winter 2003, E734-403B, gored, straight skirt in a burnout tiedye panne.

This is an old review, but I really like this skirt. If you can get a hold of the Burda Plus, I think it would be a nice addition to TNT patterns. Burda Plus Fashion Magazine- 09-2003-403 (Long Gored Skirt)

My orange t-shirts in all their orange glory. This t-shirt really isn't Kwik Sew 2565 any more. I think I'm going to scoop the neckline out even more, and I don't have the neckband length right. It's too long. Of course, that is trial and error since I'm redrafting the…

IMG_1359_edited I like it. This t-shirt is the combination of 4 different patterns. KS 2565 was the starting point. I used the shape of the french darts from a burda magazine pattern. In order to cover buttus-sticks-outous*, I used a 2 piece back from NL 6977 OOP. And I morphed the neckline/neckband using another burda magazine pattern.

It’s taken me quite a while to get to this…

Darts & Overly Erect (More on Kwik Sew 2526)

Posted on March 10, 2012 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

The extension on the dart is too short to be sewn into the sideseam on my t-shirt if pressed down. This is a big issue for me. The dart extensions make the fabric requirements much greater than if they aren’t there. I’ve played with the idea of pressing the dart up, takes less fabric. I haven’t done that, but I have serged off the excess fabric. I’m going to do that on this t-shirt. I wonder what I was planning when I cut this one out.

I stand very straight. Sandra…
