Hello Ericalyn, I am happy to see someone else from my part of the country. I live in Clarksdale, about sixty miles from Oxford. I would like to know if you have any good places to buy fabric in Oxford. I love fabric and I am always looking for…
When my son moved out, I started using his room for my sewing room. It is the smallest bedroom in the house. There is enough room for all my sewing machines and sergers. I keep two sewing machines and two sergers set up. I also have a place for my…
I also have enough fabric to last me for a couple of years. I have patterns galore, I still have some from the eighties. I would have had patterns dating back to the sixties but about 15 years ago I threw them all out. I hate I did that it seems…
Sometimes there are great deals to be found at Wal Mart. The problem with Wal Mart is they are closing all the fabric department in most of their stores. It is the only place you can buy fabric in my area other than Memphis which is 70 miles away.
I am also concerned about the price of fabric. I have a limited amout of money I will spend on fabric at a time. Sales are one of the reasons I have so much fabric in my stash. I also love good quality fabric. If I don't think it is good…

I have been sewing for a long time. Over the years I have accumulated quite a stash of fabric. Keeping it organized is quite a chore. I have a closet, bins shelves and many other containers, but I continue to have have problems keeping it organized.…
A group dedicated to the fabric stash - how to keep it organized, the size of your stash, ways to use remnants and other small pieces of fabric, your favorite piece of fabric, anything but how to break the addiction (what's wrong with it?)!
I am a person who loves sewing. I have been sewing since age 8. I took Home Economics every year of high school. When I went to college, I majored in Home Economics. I have been teaching school for 29 years. I only taught Home Economics for five years before the curriculum was changed and the course is no longer offered as it was. I am now a Career Discovery teacher. I love teaching, but sewing is my first love. The only problem I have is knowing someone who loves it as much as I do. I focus mainly on garment sewing. I would like to join your forum to meet others who are as passionate about sewing as I am.

Hi Odessa,
I guess I can say I love sewing as much as you do. I only had a few sewing classes. I am mainly self taught, and I read every sewing magazine that I can find to learn all that I can. I am currently teaching a sewing class to beginner sewers. I have some great students and we enjoy each others company.
