I am an awesome:
Hello SWN members. I love to sew, but have been busy raising kids until now. Costumes and curtains is about all I've been doing for the last 20 years, but I hope to get into more garment sewing now that I have some time.

I'm documenting my sewing projects on video , setting it to music, then talking about it on my website. I've always enjoyed making movies and sewing, and now I'm doing both. Since my daughters are modeling for me in the videos, it makes it even more rewarding for me.
My sewing interests are:
garment
My sewing machine(s):
Husqvarna
I am interested in patterns such as:
Simplicity, New Look, Vogue, McCall's, just about any

Holiday Sewing

Posted on December 11, 2010 at 2:10pm 2 Comments

Almost done with the holiday sewing, then I need to get to some of the more traditional Christmas activities.

Decorating the tree, sending out cards, cleaning the house, shopping, hair, oh my goodness, where does the time go.

Honestly, I can't hardly think about anything outside of my sewing room. I'm already thinking about what I'm going to sew after Christmas. I'm thinking a raincoat for my dog Otis to keep him dry on our walks, and a doggy bed.

Happy sewing…

Help on Video Picture Please

Posted on November 2, 2010 at 12:00pm 5 Comments

Hello everyone.
I'm not sure how to ask for help on this, but I'd like to find out how I can add a photo to my videos. I noticed most videos show a picture, but mine show a black box with a green camera (default). Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Holiday Sewing Ideas

Hancock Fabrics Holiday Center - Up to 40% OffI'm thinking about sewing scarves, aprons, and hats, as potential gifts, plus I could use a couple of scarves myself. Or maybe a holiday dress. Any ideas?

Wow! That's my kind of thinking. Sew everyday!  For me making the videos, and doing the photo shoots with my daughters is as much fun as the sewing, so I'm really torn (all good).  What do you plan to sew?  I'll check out your profile page again, but I think I remember you mentioning knitting too.  Anyway, thanks for being my friend. I look forward to getting to know you. It's really great to talk to others that sew.  I thought it was hilarious when you said "except when my family interfere".

Pam, thanks for 'friending' me. I'm finishing up my Christmas baking today. Then I'm free to sew everyday, all day--except for when work and family interfere. :)

Thanks Angee. A website called www.cartoonme.com did it for $3. It's done by a human in a couple of days.
Hope your having a nice holiday season. I like your new profile picture too. Your hair is much straighter. Very cute either way.

Thank you for the input Paw Paw. I made several dresses for myself over the last year, so I got a little burned out on that serious sewing, but I can always use a new dress. I do have a video called "How to Make Little Red Riding Hood Dress". If you like Sam the Sham you might enjoy it. How about you? Do you sew. I'll check out your profile page.
