I have a Designer 2 and had some problems and had they sent my machine to 3 different repair people they use and the last one replaced the head and it is great now- I feel it is just like new. I love my Viking -

viking d-cards

This is an example why I tell folks not to buy viking. They discontinue support for programs and parts of models with little warning and leave you high and dry. I have a designer 2 and a 936. I needed help with the 936 and was told they don't make them any more. Mine is only 5 years old. Cost $1500. What happened to machines that last forever. Pat

About Me:: grandmother of 2 and 1/2- retired RN-enjoy machine embroidery-I like to design and sew projects that incorporate embroidery-sew for grandchildren and large dolls

What type of sewing do you enjoy?: home decor, quilting, embroidery

What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?: viking designer 11 and huskylock 936 serger

What brands of patterns have you tried?: usually meke my own

I am also a fabric addict and hae cupboards, drawers, etc full. When I relocated 6 years ago could not afford to move all fabric. But have since added a lot. I have hundreds of patterns from all makers including some that no longer exist. I enjoy vintage patterns, but don't usually use patterns to sew. I do some simple quilting.
