Am a newbie to garment sewing. Have made 2 quilt tops and am starting my 3rd. I desperately wish to learn to sew garments. There aren't any classes close to me and therefore and learning very slowly from my mother.
What type of sewing do you enjoy?

What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?
Kenmore
What brands of patterns have you tried?
Haven't sewn any yet but have bought lots of Vogue and McCalls. Hit the Hancock's store for the $0.99 sale on the McCalls and $3.99 for the Vogue.
