- I've been sewing since I was 9 years old. My sewing interests vary. I recently have started making tote bags, which I am thinking of selling, since I have so many requests for them. I just bought myself used Bernina 1130, trying to learn how to use it...haven't owned a Bernina before. I have 4 other sewing machines. I'm married and like to make things for my children and grandchildren.
