Schmetz might make them, too, but all the Schmetz needles I've seen are system 15x1H. I've had my machine about a year and a half. It's easy to clean and oil, so hasn't needed a "tune-up" yet. I am very lucky that I won it in a drawing, but I was actually saving money up to buy one!
