- I enjoy learning about the history of the development of the sewing machine, and I own about a dozen. Kenmores are by far my favorite to sew with, though. I am in my 50s, and my 3 kids are grown and out on their own now. I get strange looks when I tell people that I enjoy finding old sewing machines and making them nice again!

This video demonstra
This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
