Thank you, Carolyn! I guess I was taught that, too, (where I bought my machine and took my classes) but didn't realize that's what you meant. But thanksssss so much for sharing!! I'm sure other people will need this information, too (and it was a GR…
I drive the Bernina Artista 185 QE - I LOVE it. Sews and embroiders smoooooth as butter! LOVE, I tell ya.
Classes came with it (take them, why not?), I love my dealer(s) shop, wish I could always afford the newest latest and greatest, but my machine…
omg I worked in a sewing factory for several years and you wouldn't BELIEVE how many women I saw do this with industrial sewing machines!!! Didn't happen to me (thank goodness), but ohhhhhh the nightmares!!
This summer, I visited the "Columbus Flea Market" in NJ (I think??) and found someone selling fabric and notions at that flea market. She sold some type of (I thought generic) velcro that sounds like what you mentioned. I purchased 3 yards of it (I…
Started sewing as a small child on Mom's Singer...worked in a sewing factory many years but then dropped out of sewing for many years. Been getting back into it now for about a year or so. I own my own entertainment co. and enjoy making matching decor and hats/clothing for the shows - sorta stands me out from the others! Also enjoy making all kinds of hats and baby and pet items---well, actually I think it's the Bernina I'm enjoying!!
Those dowel holders are awesome. My mother in law has a sewing room and she's got one on her wall. Eye candy, aren't they?? : ) I have to keep my thread & bobbins in a plastic bin the size of a shoe box unfortunately!
Wow that's an interesting career! You'd get to be all kinds of creative. I hope you post some of your items. I'd love to see them.
I noticed you said you were sewing for pets... I just asked Susan today about creating a pets group and she said she'd get right on it! Hopefully I'll see you there!
too cute! It doesn't matter, just show a picture of her : )
I got our Chi a bed recently which was actually asmall travel case that It hought would be adorable sitting on the floor with the lid up. Too bad I underestimated her length and it was way too small . She adored it anyway even though It looked so uncomfortable, like trying to fit into a shoe that's two sizes too small.
