You'll love those 2 books you ordered. I used them alot in my shop in my sewing camps. I liked to have the girls going into the 3rd grade for age to begin. Seemed everything could 'click' at that age. Thread the machine for them -…

Well it has to begin. I have to get down to some work but the weather is sooooo warm and here in England it is normally raining, so I don't feel like doing anything much. Typical!! I have 3 projects coming up. One based on glimpses of China, another on peacocks and another based on sunsets. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Chinese lanterns perahps> Paddy field make cool designs? Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Help!

I haven't sent any fabric postcards yet. :D
I'm swamped right now with new designs for machine embroidery and I'm working on my first quilt patterns. I might eventually get to doing the postcards, but right now it's just another thing on the list. LOL

Hi Vicky...I use bag patterns that are simple..not alot of pieces with snap closures(easier than putting zippers in and flaps are awkward) but a pattern that I can visualize making simple changes to change the look of the purse...most of my purses you see are made with the same pattern. As far as the fabrics go I look for durability such as decorator fabrics, outdoor fabrics and cotton duck for linings. But, the prints I try to use must be unique and modern but simple that I can accessorize with keyrings, change purses etc. And current colors that are being use in store baught purse seem to attract attention and sell well. I hope this helps...please let me know if you have any other questions....Carla
