I like to sew, read, hike & photography. I am married & have 2 grown children.
My sewing interests are:
garment, quilting, embroidery

Singers - 401a, 500, 301 & XL-1000 plus an old Toyota Serger

Thanks for the kind words about my windmill quilt. When I'm doing a scrap quilt (which is most of the time) I lay out ALL my blocks then step back and look at them. My main concern is to not have too many of any one color grouped together. I usually try to "spread" the color through the whole quilt. Then I pin pieces on paper with numbers for the rows and start to pick them up methodically. Then it's back to the sewing machine!
