Hey Deborah! The way you make them is to trace out your alphabet on your sheet of fabric, leaving about 2" between each letter. Then you sandwich thin, quilt batting between two sheets of cotton fabric, making sure your tracings is facing up so you can see to sew it : ) Strategically pin together so the pins wont interfere with your sewing. Cut straight between each letter so you have A-z, all ready to sew. Now Sew over your cotton, batting sandwich, right on lines you drew for your letters. Cut them out close to the edge using pinking sheers. Hope that helps! You can use any letter template you'd like. Try googling. I hand drew mine by eyeballing a font I liked. Much easier to just print it out though!
