This video was great. I had missed seeing Kaye Wood on my pbs stations. I have 5 hostess gifts to make for my next guild meeting and this will be perfect. Thanx. Jackie
I was intrigued with your post; I have been hemming jeans for years but this never occurred to me. I have only one question even tho I haven't tried it myself. In the case of boot cut or flared legs, would you not have excess fabric to ease in when turning up the bottom? Thanks, Jackie
You sound like me, I have so many quilts I forget some of them. Purchased one at an estate sale this last weekend. Yours is beautiful; scrappy ones are my favorite Jackie
Hi. I am new to this group, but have had a serger for about 2-3 years now. I am not a stranger to the problem you are having. I started out by buying a new Euro-Pro, because it was fairly inexpensive, and because it was my first, and I wanted to not…
Always be sure that your presser foot is up when threading your serger to release the tension disks. With my serger, a Pfaff, the slightest bit of thread in the tension disks can cause havoc to rein. Also, be sure to clean your serger thoroughly…
Many, many thanks for your post, Katriina! I have been wrestling with my serger on and off for days! I didn't know that the needles being threaded before the lower looper was the reason my lower looper kept breaking. Thank you!
Hi, I had that parblem, and after using the mesh thread nets, I was able to serger without the thread coming out of tension. Have you tried one yet? It may help, hope so.
Are you threading your serger in the correct order - loopers before needles? If you break a thread, make sure the needle threads are NOT still under the needle plate. Make sure you bring them to the top and out behind the presser foot BEFORE…
Well duh: I am ;totally embarrassed at my ignorance. It finally ocurred to me to try a different thread. When I put
mq thread in bobbin and top my stitch was perfect. Just does not pay to get up some days. Thanks anyway. Jackie
