2 am is when I've done some of my best work :•) one more tip.Don't leave your needle cushion on the floor when your done cutting out.Mine tipped over, then I accidently stepped down hard on it,and wound up with all the needles sunk…
I'm married with 2 teenagers who only like to wear boring bland Abercrombie hollister stuff so I don't sew 4 them anymore.I sew all kinds of things for fun.shirts pants dresses purses curtains dolls roses chair covers bedspreads bedskirt...some from patterns, some without.Ive spent a lot of time at home, the last five years, since my mother and my husband's mother passed away, and we didn't feel much like going anywhere.(but time really does help heal all wounds). So I've done much sewing. My mother taught me how to sew.
What type of sewing do you enjoy?
garment, drapery, home decor, upholstery, cross stitch, embroidery
What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?
my mom's sewing machines I inherited: an expensive complicated ten yr old Janome embroidery sewing machine I barely know how to use,(no manual book) a good cheap singer machine I call my workhorse, and a serger that keeps shooting broken needles toward my face, lol.so I don't use that one anymore.
What brands of patterns have you tried?
vogue butterick simplicity mccalls.I like burda because it's so modern, but man are their directions hard to understand!! I do better to ignore them altogether and just guess at how it fits together, lol.

I know what you mean about starting and stopping on the yo-yo project, but this time I think I'm going to actually finish it!! I have all the yo-yo's made and now I'm just starting to put them together. It will take a while but it's one of those mindless projects you can do when watching TV or listening to my audio books!!
