I took some shoulderpads out of a very nice/ butter soft/ mens/ leather jacket. When I was totaly finished I discovered a tiny gouge in the leather in the front left shoulder area. Hi Gran, nice to meet you! Sorry it took so long to reply back. I'm basically a beginner. Simple things like skirts, pillows, etc. Growing up, my Mom and Granny sewed a lot. Mom always made me and my sisters clothes, and for awhile had a few clients that she would sew for. One lady had a whole wardrobe made! Granny used her Singer treadle machine, up until she died. she could take a piece of newspaper and make her own patterns. Mom still has all her sewing supplies, including her very heavy table top Good Housekeeping(not sure if that's the right name) sewing machine, that I will probably inherit when she passes on. Granny also made wonderful quilts, nothing fancy, just to keep you warm.
What level sewing are you? Do you sew a lot? I try to sew something at least once a week. I home school my 2 remaining kids (we have 7)that are still at home, so that takes up a lot of my time. We also have 2 grand daughter, ages soon to be 1 yr.old Elizabeth, and 6 month old Brianna.
Hope to hear form you again! Have a great weekend!
