I don't remember whether I actually posted my question to you, so I am doing so now. What pattern did you use for this? I would love to knit one for myself! :) It is so cute!
i experimented by stretching the elastic thread and not stretching it. I am using Brother sewing machine and it seems like a lot of ppl using this brand have a problem with shirring.
thank you for this tutorial. I didn't get the elastic effect. What have I done wrong. I have put the elastic in the bobbin...set the longest stitch and did the backstitch. Help.
I'm originally from Singapore (aaaah missssing home!!!)but have been living in the UK for nearly 20 yrs. Always love crazy sewing ideas. Have started to sell my own goods over xmas market and hope.....if i have more guts...to go around to shops to stock up my goods. soon will upload some pictures of my work.
What type of sewing do you enjoy?

What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?

singer overlocking machine
What brand of patterns do you prefer?

I read your comment on the "I love to sew" board. I can relate! I would spend most of my time sewing if I had any to spare. I haven't taken any courses (I think I could learn a thing or two from you!) but I just love to sew, especially anything where I have to make it up as I go along!
hi carolyn, all that years in class will go down the drain if there is no practice. Theory without practical will not work. is that u in bellydance pics?
Hi Lisa
Thanks for the welcome ....I'm from the East Midlands...Leicestershire....I'm not sure if I'm in the right place here as I haven't sewn for many years but spotted my old dusty singer in the attic and thought I might ''have a go''...
I'm afraid theres nothing exotic about me lol....That is just a user name made up from the 1st 2 letters of my childrens names
LAura..JOseph..NIco
In the past I have made curtains bedspreads cushion covers etc oh and a few outfits when the children were small...but then they weren't fussy ;-)
I do have words to share with you! You can do it!! If you can sew for yourself, you can sew for others. Just relax and take it one step at a time. You will enjoy it if it's no big deal to make a mistake. Just try again, and keep going! God bless!
