I've used strips of wax paper under the sheer fabric to feed it though to stitch...works great!

- love to sew.....have 2 cats...they love to sit on my fabric and one thinks she wants to interupt me when I'm sewing...my 17 year old grandson lives with me, and I spend many days/nights at soccer games....I also volunteer at the High School, and for the past 5 years was the Registrar for the Youth Soccer League...and I'm making my first quilt, although, I've made 3 quilted table runners for Christmas presents...I think I"m hooked, but don't tell anyone.........ok???

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
