For those of you that are new to dollmaking, there are special tubes for turning these very thin legs and arms, as well as fingers for other doll patterns.. Dollmakers Journey sells them, just Google the name for the addy. Have fun.

Great iseas Warna, my doll club here in So.Ca Is IOLCC "Imitation of Life Construction Company". We have doll pin exchanges with many clubs all over the orld. If you join any of the doll groups on Yahoo, they also have free doll pattenrs.

I have an LD5 Elna, it's an old one and it is impossible to thread, I do get that from the techs when I've taken it to have it looked at. I'm always told there nothing wrong with it,not even service needed if it's not being used,…

Hello, I make cloth dolls, and wonder if there are any interested ladies in this craft. I also quilt, but like to make lap quilts, but mostly minis. I also have VH Emerald, I am not into all those fancy machines. I love to do hand work though. Velia

Since I could barely move, I started making mini quilts by watching TV, where the woman was making humongeous ones. I have made several large ones since. I'm also an avid cloth doll maker and teacher

This video demonstra
This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
