Spent the afternoon yesterday watching some videos I think are good for both the beginner and more advanced. I'm self taught & this gave me some insight as to a few disciplines while sewing which I hope will help in the future.  They are from  West Valley College youtube site, have several video classes for basic construction, fashion design, patternmaking, etc...classes that they offer.

Best of all....it's FREE to watch.
