She's Come Undone Art Quilt

I have been working away on this particular quilt for some time, and at last, it's finished. As you can see from the photo. This woman is coming "apart at the seams", pun intended. She has her hands across her chest to try to hold herself together but can't seem to do it. The lines running down the front of her are static - stop and start and uneven. Just What A Fabric-A-Holic Needs-- More Fabric

I have been collecting fabrics for as long as I can remember and one thing that some might say is "don't give her anymore fabric"

I belong to a quilting guild and we trade fabrics once in awhile. One of our members brought a stack of upholstery to one of our trades and no one wanted them. Of course I said "I will take them" you can't let good fabric like that go to waste, right.

In Search for quality tracing paper

I have been using the Dritz wax-free tracing paper all my sewing years. I have never really liked this medium. Now I am looking for a better product. So I am asking my fellow SWN members to give me there view on this subject. You all offered such great suggestions and ways to my last blog post and once again I thank you.

My First Quilt

So I will start off, By telling you that I have attempted to quilt before. With disastrous results. I was helping a friend make a baby quilt for a friend of hers. My thought going in was “I make clothes all the time and that is all curved lines and darts, I can sew a straight line.” After all was cut and pinned, I am all ready to sew this sucker together.
