Ada has been taking over
filling my mind up
like a lover
She’s so close to being done
and is being pushed forward
by the next one…
Might be a few days until I get her ready to upload to the bubble, but you can check out her progress at my
blog
Ada inspires a friend of mine
particularly during her writing time
it seems she has a flair for romance
and loves a bit of 80s…

I might be weak and dainty
But I can still get painty
To stimulate my mind
As I pass the waiting time
An update on my latest self portrait:
that thing on my head & my voice on tape
I recently ventured
Into the realm of podcastin

I'm looking for a simple pillowcase dress pattern - I'm just beginning to sew so photos and detailed instructions are important! I bought a pattern (actually it was just instructions with no photos or pattern!) from etsy.com and made it (quite proud of myself) but it just doesn't "fit" right on my 12 month old. It doesn't cut out arm holes and wondering if that is the problem? Any ideas?

Hi everyone, Tomorrow we're leaving for a two week vacation from our home in NW Florida. We'll be visiting our friends in Georgia for 3 days and then to Washington to visit our daughter for 4 days and then to Pa to visit my Mom and two sisters and then head back to home. We not sure where we will visit until we arrive back home.
Our neighbor will feed our fish but I'm not sure if she will know how to take care of all of my plants. I just hope I dont loose then. :(
We're…

If things are a bit tight this Christmas, why not drag out the sewing machine and make your own Christmas gifts. It doesn't have to be a complex piece of clothing. The suggestions below are all simple and easy to make. The biggest cost will be the fabric, so shop around for remnants and discount fabrics.
Elegant Table Runner & Placemats When you think about it, the simple table runner is just a long rectangle, and placemats are just smaller ones. If you buy some…

Making your own Christmas Tree Skirt is simple, and can be done as a project for the whole family to enjoy together.
Fabric Good fabrics to choose are plain cottons (red, green or white), or you can buy special Christmas prints in a range of fabrics including cottons and plush velvets. You can even choose contrasting colours for top and bottom. Depending on the thickness of your fabric, you may also need some heavy interfacing to sit between the two fabric layers. If…

ugh
i am made of pain
in my blog i have explained
it’s right through my body and my hands don’t work so good
feels like purgatory
waiting for answers
while it gets worse
this is what I did today
to try and keep the horror at bay
it’s just me in a watery way
appreciating appreciation…never believe it can’t get worse

Hi Everyone! Just signed up and I hope to use this site lots. What I am looking for is a pure white fabric with sparkles. I need about 2 yards or metres. I really have my heart set on using it for a background border and I want to applique Poinsettias and Leaves and vines to it. I had seen some last year at Walmart and now this year it doesn't seem to be the thing to have sparkles. Can anyone help out? I am hooked up to Paypal if that helps. Nicole

Hi everyone. Todays was our quilters pig out and we had bunches of goodies to eat. We all worked on any quilt we're trying to finish. I worked on my Christmas quilt. I've been working on this quilt at home and after today I have 9 blocks finished. Hurrah!!!! I saw so many beautiful quilts while being there for six hours. Someone was working on two quilts for two children that had pictures of their father that is now overseas.
One of the quilters made everyone a small pin cushion. Another…

The weather has noticed the season again
And shifts mercilessly between sunshine and rain
And I can move forward, whilst waiting still
And drink up a cup
Of a new creative fill
oh how quaint, she learns to paint

He’s the biggest little dog
You’re ever likely to meet
His head ridiculously large
He plods on enormous feet
But once he was a teeny
Little tiny Veet
Who liked nothing more
Than to give a cuddly greet
And whilst he’s gotten larger
He remains adorably sweet
This is the funny little guy
Keeping me company
Who better to practise my painting on?…
