Nai'Lahs dress

This dress I made for my grand daughter. The pattern I used was a Project Runway Simplicity pattern #2989. The print fabric Asian Garden Posies is from JoAnn Fabrics.

I modified the pattern by not adding the sleeves. The dress is lined so there was no need to create a finish for the neckline or sleeves. The pattern was easy to follow, but I am not sure it is a pattern for beginners.

Bridesmaid Dresses Colors of Gerber Daisies.

In Search for quality tracing paper

I have been using the Dritz wax-free tracing paper all my sewing years. I have never really liked this medium. Now I am looking for a better product. So I am asking my fellow SWN members to give me there view on this subject. You all offered such great suggestions and ways to my last blog post and once again I thank you.

Mixed Feelings.... Do I love or hate knit fabric?

I have been working with jersey knits lately. Although I love the look and feel of quality jersey fabrics I have not decided if I like sewing them.
Question what are your tricks to working with jersey? Do you have a love hate relationship with knit fabrics?
My biggest dilema right now is with using twin needles on knits. I keep getting skipped stitches. Is it a tension thing in the bobbin?
