Floral Motifs In Our Quilts - "Secrets of Grandmother's Garden"

Flowers have always been an important symbol in our lives. They amaze us not only because of their beauty, but also because of their love of life. There are few people in the world who do not like flowers. The freshness of flowers gives us positive energy. Already as a child we come into contact with the flowers during an adventure or an excursion in a flower's camp or in our grandmother's garden. "What secrets do these flowers keep? How beautiful and silky they are! Can I touch them? They seem so fragile." These thoughts run through the children's head who are playing in the garden living their adventure as an real adventure while they are trying to discover all the flowers' secrets they can.

You can see this adventure in my latest work called "Secrets of Grandmother's Garden".

Flowers are popular motifs for quilters thanks to the richness of their colors and forms. Whether used as a decorative element or as a main theme, they always bring something from the nature which is so close to us and it makes our work not only beautiful, but also full of life. From the simplest form to the most complex shapes, you can find examples of how the quilters use flowers in their works.

I love it!  I envy your imagination.  You also remind me of the zinnias and sunflowers I planted with my granddaughter this summer. You are an inspiration.
