Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I am not really a quilter...my cousin Patsy is a quilter,She quilts ALL the time. However I do make quilts occasionally and WISH that I was a quilter.Maybe when I get old (Ha) and don't do other things like volunteering at the school and the church and Girl Guides....maybe. In the meantime I will remain a now and then quilter and enjoy that.

I have just finished a foundation pieced baby quilt for a brand new baby who was born today. It is made from many different fabrics which I used over the years for my daughter's clothes, for costumes and for artsy things we did at Pathfinders/Senior Branches. The mummy of the recipient of this quilt is my youngest daughter's best friend growing up who also was a member of our Guiding units from Sparks to SB.The quilt is called "I Spy" and there are many things that the mummy will recognize in it. I hope she will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it...except for the machine quilting...didn't enjoy that so much.

Happy Stitching everyone!
