Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

After years of waiting for grandchildren, I am finally getting two this year. The one coming in July is supposed to be a girl so I have started a pink, purple and white afghan -- about 1/3 finished. I have put together a cheater cloth alphabet quilt with yellow fleece backing. I still need to bind it. Her Mom is planning on a farm girl theme so I am taking the wallpaper border and making a quilt with the characters. I'll post a pix when I get it together, I think it will be real cute.
I have purchased some pink interlock that I plan to embroider and make into a gown. And pink and white checked seersucker to make a little dress.
The one coming in October, will have a doggie theme. After the sex is determined, it will either be doggies and butterflies or just doggies.

Aren't grandbabies wonderful to sew for? When my oldest grandson was born I made him a quilt using images from his border too.He still has the quilt although he is 17 now.Enjoy your sewing.
