For those sewers close to Minneapolis, there is a similar expo up there Nov 4th-8th.
Its a great show, with lots of interesting classes and exhibitors/vendors. I'm going up for the second year with sewing friends. There are many fine hotels close by, and Minneapolis boasts some nice fabric outlets as well!

I am sewing all the time in my sewing room. There are times that I want come out. People give me scraps of fabrics and my closet is full of it. I like to go fabric shopping and check out the new stuff that have in store. My handbags that I am making is coming from scrap fabrics.
