Simplicity 1755 - Betty Draper Blue

This version of the dress reminds me of Betty cooking in the kitchen or running after Sally. I love the new rounded collar. This was the best fabric to work with, I got it at SR Harris last fall and I love it. Was looking forward to making a blouse but this was perfect for the third dress. Looks like it will be a very flattering dress to wear!

Hi CHAZ ROCHE, you should be able to find that pattern at your local fabric store. It's a fairly new simplicity pattern.

I  remember making a shirt waist dress very similar to this even with that rounded collar when I was a junior in high school,it was made out of pretty plaid cotton fabric my dress won in a local competition at the fabric store, then it dress went on to NY City for the really big competition. I was so excited being only 16, matching those plaid stripes, what a challenge that was at my age and my sewing skills. I wore that dress with such pride.Fun to think back at those times.
