Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I haven't shared anything on here in a while so I thought I would share my cutting table experience with you.

I was so happy when I was able to purchase one of those cutting tables that they sell at the fabric store, you know with the fold out legs.  But this sewing room I have now the table didn't work with my hard wood floors.

So I went to Walmart and found one of those plastic folding tables, it was about $40. I really love this table because it is the perfect length and width. But it was too short and bending over it trying to cut out a coat or dress was very difficult.  So my husband had this great idea!  He cut 4  1 1/2 inch pvc pipe (I think that what you call it) or whatever size will fit the legs of the table (cut them about 8" high).  Pop them on the legs of the table and ooops there it is. I actually bought 2 tables the other one I use to set up my 6 machines. Oh I just noticed the dust under my table please don't pay attention to it. Thank you.But you can comment and encourage me to clean up my sewing room. LOL
