I have been so busy at work for Easter. We had 600 people. I made about 4000 individual size pastries for the buffet. I have one part time helper, so this was an awful lot of work for me. None of the items could be finished ahead because there isn't room in the walk-in refrigerators or the freezer to store them without them getting ruined, so I had to finish everything Sunday morning. The buffet opened at 10:30 so I really had to hustle. What a nightmare!
Good news is I received my new Juki machine and it is wonderful. I have gotten everything pretty much in order so I can start sewing my blankets now.
I know the economy is not so good right now, but I think if you have an unusual item for sale, that there will be people to buy them. If not I guess I can fall back on doing alterations and other sewing until things improve. I am hoping to have something that will bring in a pretty steady side income, so by the time I get to retire I will have some income to help out with the tiny social security.
