Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.
Anyone who hasn't seen the Great British Sewing Bee on Youtube might want to tune in. There are 4 episodes and each is about 1 hr long so plan on sitting awhile. Watch each episode in sequence when time permits and enjoy.

I agree with you Fran, it's interesting to see how these home sewers manage the challenges given to them, each with their own individual perspective and level of expertise. Would love to see more shows of this kind.
I enjoyed these shows tremendously, and was very inspired. I am going to get outside my comfort zone, give myself some time restraints, and get busy! With this fast paced world, I need to grab some time, and do what I enjoy. Ann, I certainly admire you. I just joined jazzercise, but I need to check into yoga! Producers in the U.S., please get a show like this!
I'm 1/2 way thru this eve. Have truly enjoyed watching the 2 episodes I watched and will look forward to tomorrow eve to finish up. Great inspiration. I have a great nieces dress I'll be starting in the next few days for her for summer..
I am totally inspired by this, even more so than Project Runway because the whole group of contestants are closer to me (we are all home sewers). I turned 51 last year and hadn't really done any sewing for the greater part of the last 12 to thirteen years, but seeing Ann tackling every project and eventually being the winner has given me a great boost. I surely do have another thirty years of sewing that I can put in. Many, Many thanks for this!!
I absolutely loved this! Their workroom is so charming! Much more inviting than the "sterile" work spaces they have on project runway. This was such a great show, thanks for posting it!!
What a delightful competition! I am loving EVERY moment! Thank you.
Thank you SO much for this blog the British Sewing Bee. I am still watching it and I am so inspired by each of the individual's approach to their task. The time constraints add a little tension but then....so does a "runway" if you were in a designer's debut. Whew. only half way through episode 1.
