Having trouble clicking through emails

Hi all,

For quite some time now, whenever I click on a link in an email from sew-whats-new, it pops up as unable to connect.  Sometimes I can type in the sew-whats-new.com address and it will open it - other times not...  This is the only site I have this issue with, and I visit a LOT of sites.

There are great things I'd like to check out on some of those emails, but I get so frustrated when I click on a link and end up on a blank page from Microsoft, saying it couldn't connect to the page.  I've literally had weeks where I've tried to get on the site, and finally give up in frustration and just delete the email.

Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, what can I do to fix it?  It's very annoying, to say the least!!  I use IE as my web browser.

       Thanks!

Your internet provider, they might be able to help.  Call them tomorrow maybe, and see if they can walk you through.  You never know!

My problem is that now all my kids that know anything about computers have moved out on their own!!  Now what do I do???? :-)  I'll keep working at it.  One of these days I may actually figure it out.

Thanks, Susan!!

It sounds to me like there is some sort of setting, either within your host files, or your firewall, or your browser that is filtering us out.  I honestly don't know how to direct you, (I get my kids to fix my issues LOL) but if you can get someone who knows where to look, it might be something that simple.

To tell you the truth, I have absolutely no clue!  When I have problems with my PC, I take it to a guy at church that takes care of it, then I get it back...  I wouldn't even have any idea how to tell if I have a firewall set up or not.

Vivian do you have a firewall, even a windows firewall running?
