Thanks Arlene. I just so happen to purchase the tracing paper you suggested. I have just recently used it for the last one of the bridesmaid dresses I have been sewing. I used it on the lining. The only disadvantage to using this other than what you mentioned is that you need to test it on the fabric you are working on. Since I am not known for prepping or testing things "lol" I may run into issue.
The lining still has the marks so far I marked the pattern last night so I guess I will have to wait and see if it really disappears. Thanks for the advice and your response to my dilemma.

Hi Patricia, I too dislike the wax free paper. It just doesn't work well. Dritz also has a product called "Mark B Gone" tracing paper. If you have never used it, it is a single sheet of purple felt like material saturated with the same type of liquid that is in the Mark-B-Gone purple marker. It works really well but has some disadvantages. The sheet must be kept in an air tight wrap to stay moist so you must be diligent about wraping it immediately after each use. Also since the sheet is saturated, if you want to mark one side of a fabric you will have to put a sheet of paper on the back side of the sheet because it will mark whatever it is laying on. I try not to mark too much in advance since it will eventually disappear. All in all, it is the best product I have found. I buy it at JoAnn Fabrics and only when I have a 40 or 50% off coupon.
Maybe some others will have favorites we can both try.
