Molly Chicken's Little Love Bird Sewing Tutorial + Basic Embroidery Stitches Tutorial

I found this sweet sewing tutorial that would be PERFECT for any beginner sewer too!  This little chick has a pocket sewn to it's belly and it carries Valentines wherever it chirps.  The little feet are cut out of felt, a belly is sewn out of cotton as is the head.  Two tiny hand embroidered eyes have him staring right at you with a little orange felt beak.  Three more tiny clips of felt make up his crown and you have a darling Valentine's Day sewing project (and maybe gift?).

Design It, Stitch It: Hand Embroidery

I've never been interested in hand embroidery.  I think it's gorgeous and I love it, but to sit and poke myself over and over... hahaha!  Someday I will pick it up but for now I'll leave it to you!  Check out this video by Better Homes and Gardens.  They demonstrate some very simple embroidery stitches you can try:

I hope you like today's goodies!  Let me know if you make one of these Love Birds!

Ughhhh sorry about that.  The url must have changed or was incorrect to begin with.  Regardless, I have corrected it.  Thanks so much!
